After the second showdown weekend of season 2, your DC SuperNovas remain 1st place, with a record of 8-0! Five of our players are in the top 20 performances in the USLPL 50+. In St. Louis, we played the Kentucky Thoroughbreds, NC Breakers, Florida Storm, and Delrays. Here’s a link to watch our dreambreaker against the Stars in weekend 1. Great 20 min watch! Let’s GEAUX!
SuperNovas team owner Dani Mackey has been a proud resident of NOVA since 1996. She is a competitive player and has won national titles including gold medals in singles at Nationals, women’s doubles at the U.S. Open and women’s and mixed doubles at the Irish Open in Dublin. Dani is also a Level 1 USA Pickleball Referee.
The SuperNovas are pleased to welcome Nokbox to our list of 2026 sponsors. Nokbox is a total life organization system designed to keep households organized in case of emergency and every day peace of mind. Order at this link to support our team through a portion of sales.
Introducing to the USLPL are our teammates Molly Melchior and Carolynn Lenhard. A diehard Chiefs fan, Molly was an All-American field hockey player and is PPR certified. Carolynn cheers for the Seahawks, and grew up playing soccer – winning MVP two years in a row. They reside in NOVA and love their rescue lab Lucy!
A very special sponsor of the SuperNovas this season is K2 Pickleball and the owner of the Villages Heat, Kim Stevenson. Kim set up K2 in honor and memory of her mother for senior abuse awareness, and we proudly wear K2 on the back of our jerseys as a result of Kim’s generousity and support of female business owners.
This is Jen’s first year in the USLPL, and we couldn’t be more pleased that she’s a SuperNova. Out of Chatham, IL, Jen is a lifelong athlete and educator who loves the challenge of competition. She’s a coach, tournament director, and student of the game who is supportive both on and off the court!
